LAST MAN STANDING 2026-27
One pick a week. Win and you live. Lose and you're out. Run the classic pub-and-office game online for the whole Premier League season — free for small groups.
WHAT IS LAST MAN STANDING?
Last Man Standing is the elimination game that's been run out of pubs, offices, and WhatsApp groups across the UK and Ireland for decades. The rules fit on a beer mat: every gameweek, each player picks one Premier League team to win. Win, and you're through to next week. Lose — or draw, in the classic rules — and you're out. The last player standing takes the pot.
Also Known As
The twist that makes it a season-long chess match: you can only pick each club once. Burn Arsenal in August and they're gone when you need them for a kind fixture in February. With 20 clubs and 38 gameweeks, the game punishes lazy picks and rewards anyone who reads the fixture list three weeks ahead.
Traditionally someone in the office runs LMS off a spreadsheet — chasing picks by text on a Friday night, arguing about whether a message arrived before kickoff, and typing results in by hand. Golazo replaces the spreadsheet: picks lock automatically at the first kickoff, results come in from the real matches, and eliminations are scored for you. The commissioner just runs the banter.
How It Works
Pick One Team Each Gameweek
From the gameweek's fixtures, choose the one club you're backing to WIN. Picks lock at the first kickoff.
Your Team Wins → You Survive
Three points for them, another week alive for you. On to the next gameweek.
Lose or Draw → You're Out
A loss eliminates you. So does a draw, unless your pool plays the draws-survive option.
No Picking the Same Team Twice
Each club can be used once. Survive long enough to use all 20 and your slate resets.
Miss the Deadline → Eliminated
No pick when the gameweek locks counts the same as a loss. Golazo reminds you before it happens.
Last One Standing Takes the Pot
Outlast everyone and the pool is yours. If the last survivors all fall in the same week, they share it.
The Rules
Standard Rules — Every Pool
Commissioner Options — Your Pool, Your Rules
Every option is set when the pool is created, so the rules are on the record before a ball is kicked.
Built for the Person Running It
Anyone who's run LMS off a spreadsheet knows the real work isn't picking teams — it's chasing 30 people for picks and money every single week. For 38 weeks. Golazo does the chasing for you.
Payment Tracking
Track who's paid into the pot and who hasn't. Golazo never touches the money — the commissioner collects it however the group prefers.
Automated Reminders
Email and push reminders go out before every deadline — a day-before nudge and a last call — so nobody gets eliminated for forgetting.
Live Scoring
Results flow in from the real matches. Survivals and eliminations are scored automatically — no Monday-morning data entry.
Four Languages
The whole app works in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese, so a mixed group can all play in their own language.
Free for pools with up to 5 members. Larger pools pay a small one-time hosting fee — see pricing for the details.
The 2026-27 Season
The 2026-27 Premier League season kicks off on Friday, August 21, 2026 and runs 38 gameweeks into late May 2027. That's 38 chances to get it wrong — LMS pools that start with 40 players are routinely down to a handful by Christmas.
You don't have to be ready for opening day. Pools can be created and joined at any point in the season, and with late join enabled a mid-season pool works just as well — plenty of groups start a fresh LMS after the January window or run one over the run-in.
