TWO WAYS TO PLAY THE PRIMEIRA LIGA
A Primeira Liga pool turns Portugal's top flight into a season-long game with your friends. Golazo runs two formats on the same 2026-27 calendar, and you can play either — or both — with the same group.
Survivoris the elimination game: every jornada you back one club to win. Win and you advance, lose or draw and you're out, and you can never reuse a club. The last player standing takes the pot. In the UK and Ireland the same format is known as Last Man Standing.
Pick'emis the prediction game: each jornada has 9 fixtures, and you call 5 of them — home win, draw, or away win. Sweep all five and you take that jornada's share of the pot; miss and the pot rolls over and grows. Nobody gets eliminated, so you're in it every week from jornada 1 to 34.
Both formats lean on the same detail that makes Portuguese football pools tense: the draw. There's no overtime in league play — about a quarter of matches end level — so a draw is a live outcome in pick'em and, in standard rules, a survivor killer. With 18 clubs and 34 jornadas, the league is tight enough that Benfica, Porto, and Sporting can't carry you the whole way.
How Survivor Works
Pick One Club Per Jornada
From that jornada's nine fixtures, back one club to WIN. You can change your mind until the first kickoff.
Win and You Advance
Your club takes three points, you take another week of survival.
Lose or Draw and You're Out
No overtime, no second chances. A draw counts as a loss unless your commissioner enabled draws-survive.
Every Club Only Once
Used clubs are off your board — until you've burned all 18, when the slate resets (commissioner option).
Miss the Deadline, Take the L
No pick when the jornada locks counts as a loss. Reminders by email and push keep you ahead of it.
Last Standing Takes the Pot
Outlast the pool and it's yours. If everyone left falls in the same jornada, the survivors share it.

Start Anytime in 2026-27
The 2026-27 Primeira Liga season kicks off around August 7, 2026 and runs to mid-May 2027 across 34 jornadas. Pools can be created and joined at any point in the season, so a pool starting at jornada 8 works exactly like one starting at jornada 1.
