About SoFi Stadium

SoFi Stadium in Inglewood is one of the most advanced stadiums in the world. Home to the LA Rams and Chargers, this $5.5 billion venue will host key World Cup matches through the Semi Finals. LA's massive international community makes it a natural World Cup host.

Opened in 2020 at a cost of over $5 billion, SoFi Stadium is the most expensive stadium ever built. It is the home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, and features a striking translucent ETFE roof. It hosted Super Bowl LVI (2022) and the College Football Playoff National Championship (2023).

Getting to SoFi Stadium

✈️ Airport

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is just 3 miles away — one of the closest airport-to-stadium proximities among all venues.

🚇 Public Transit

The LA Metro K Line (Crenshaw/LAX) has a station at Downtown Inglewood, about a 20-minute walk or shuttle ride to the stadium. The LAX/Metro Transit Center connects to the broader Metro rail network.

🚗 Driving & Parking

Located at the Hollywood Park development off I-405 and Century Blvd. Parking is available on-site but limited and expensive. Rideshare and shuttle options are strongly recommended.

Fan Zones & Watch Parties

LA Live at the Crypto.com Arena complex in downtown LA is the expected hub for FIFA Fan Fest activities — it hosted fan zones for the 2028 Olympics bid celebrations and routinely hosts large outdoor events. Santa Monica Beach and Venice Beach boardwalk areas are also likely gathering spots.

Fan zone locations are based on historical precedent. Official FIFA Fan Fest details will be confirmed closer to the tournament.

Weather & What to Pack

LA in June and July is warm and dry with average highs around 83°F (28°C) and virtually no rain. The famous marine layer ('June Gloom') often keeps mornings overcast near the coast, burning off by midday. SoFi Stadium's translucent roof provides shade from direct sun while maintaining an open-air feel, making it one of the most comfortable venues in hot weather. Bring sunscreen for pre-match activities outdoors and a light layer for cool evening breezes near the coast.

Where to Eat & Drink in Los Angeles

Los Angeles is one of America's great food cities with an unmatched diversity of cuisines. Near the stadium in Inglewood, Randy's Donuts is an iconic stop. For LA's famous taco scene, head to Leo's Tacos on La Brea or Sonoratown downtown for flour-tortilla Sonoran-style tacos. Koreatown (a 20-minute drive from SoFi) has incredible Korean BBQ at Park's BBQ and late-night food at Sun Nong Dan. Grand Central Market downtown is a food hall with everything from Thai to pupusas. For a splurge, try Bestia in the Arts District for Italian or Jitlada in Thai Town for Southern Thai cuisine.

🏨

Where to Stay in Los Angeles

Hotels near LAX and Inglewood are the closest to SoFi Stadium — chains along Century Blvd offer mid-range options ($150-250/night). Santa Monica and Venice Beach are popular for the beach lifestyle but expect a 30-45 minute drive to the stadium (longer in traffic). Downtown LA has a growing hotel scene with rooftop bars and easy Metro access. For budget travelers, hostels in Hollywood or shared Airbnbs in Culver City keep costs down while staying close to the K Line for stadium access. Avoid staying too far east or in the Valley if stadium access is your priority.

Match Day Experience

SoFi Stadium is in the Hollywood Park entertainment complex, which includes restaurants, shops, and gathering spaces — arrive early to soak it all in. The LA Metro K Line to Downtown Inglewood station is the best public transit option, with a shuttle or 20-minute walk to the gates. If driving, allow at minimum 2 hours for traffic and parking. Gates typically open 2 hours before kickoff. SoFi's Infinity Screen — the massive dual-sided video board — creates a unique in-stadium experience unlike any other venue. Post-match, the Hollywood Park area has enough bars and restaurants to absorb the crowd, or take the K Line back to explore LA's nightlife.

Local Tips — Los Angeles

Explore the diversity of LA's neighborhoods — tacos in East LA, Korean BBQ in Koreatown, and beaches in Santa Monica. Don't miss Griffith Observatory for sweeping city views, and budget extra time because traffic is legendary.

Safety & Etiquette

LA is a sprawling city with safe and less-safe areas. Stick to well-known neighborhoods (Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Westside) and be aware of your surroundings downtown at night. The Inglewood area around SoFi Stadium has improved significantly with the stadium development. Car break-ins are common — never leave valuables visible in a parked car, even in seemingly safe areas. Rideshare is generally safer than walking long distances at night. The stadium area will have heavy security and police presence on match days.
